Oakland A's Game

Epsilon Beta Boule, generously allowed 100 Oak Grove and Teen Garden Corps. students to visit the Oakland Coliseum for an A's game on Thursday, June 22nd. Students were gifted a A's hat and a concession stand ticket that allowed them to buy some yummy snacks. The students had a great time and loved the atmosphere the stadium brought. A big thank you to Epsilon Beta Boule!! 



Chevron Field Trip

On June 22, 2017,  21 El Dorado middle school students were invited to Chevron for a STEM field trip. The students participated in workshops revolving around STEM and got to be hands on with their activities.


Harvest of the Month

Harvest of the Month for June is yummy and delicious Peaches! Peaches are the perfect summer snack, peaches are naturally sweet and are very juicy. Peaches are packed with vitamin C, vitamin A, and fiber. Fiber is essential nutrient for our bodies, it helps keep our bellies full and maintain a healthy weight. Mt. Diablo CARES is ready to kick off another great summer program!  Summer program will run form June 19th– July 24th, Monday through Thursday. We will not have program July 3rd and 4th in observance of Independence Day. Program will run 8:00 am to 2:00, pick up time will begin at 1:45PM.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided free of charge to any youth up to age 18.

Thank you US Bank!! Private Screening of Despicable Me 3

On Monday July 17, 2017 290 Mt. Diablo students attended a private screening of Despicable Me 3. A huge thanks to US Bank for making this happen. All the students were very excited and appreciative. All the students received a popcorn and a treat to enjoy as they watched the movie. 


Girls Scouts Lake Berryessa Field Trip

On Saturday June 17, 2017, Girls Scouts invited 15 Shore Acres students to Lake Berryessa. At camp Berryessa students were able to participate in four rotations where they were able to learn about different types of birds and also fire safety in the wilderness. In addition Students were able to make their own mirrors, campfires and also make slime using household products. The students had an awesome time!

Camp Concord 2017 Middle School Week

43 El Dorado, Oak Grove, Riverview Mt. Diablo Middle school's attended Camp Concord on July 10-14, 2017. Students enjoyed a week of fun filled activities like kayaking, hiking, spending the day at the beach, and lots and lots of camp songs and games! As you can tell by the smiling faces, the students had a blast and were sad about heading home.
