Transition to By-Trustee Area Elections

Overview

In accordance with the California Voting Rights Act, the District will be transitioning to a by-trustee area election system in 2020. After several months of public hearings and community forums to gather input, the MDUSD Board of Trustees approved a final map and election sequence.  The Contra Costa County Committee on School District Organization is scheduled to approve the trustee areas and election method change at a special meeting on November 13, 2019.

We thank all of those who attended the public hearings and forums and took the time to provide feedback.
