Transportation of Students in Privately-Owned Vehicles

Transportation to authorized events or field trips may be made in private automobiles. Prior to the field trip, an approved Transportation of Students in Privately Owned Vehicles form must be filed with the site administrator for each vehicle used. Drivers must be at least 23 years of age and must have adequate primary automobile liability coverage (see requirements listed on the form). A supply of these forms can be obtained by duplicating the sample form, or from the district Warehouse (Item #00737252). Copies of the form in Spanish are available from the Office of General Counsel. Please note that the district cannot insure the privately-owned vehicles of employees or parents.
