The Mt. Diablo Unified School District is seeking nominations of classified (non-teaching) staff members who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make learning enjoyable and safe for our students to be selected as District Classified Employees of the Year.
These employees must have been in their occupational specialty (i.e. Bus Driver/Transportation) for at least 5 years, part time or full time. No managers or supervisors can be nominated. Classified employees can be nominated in any of the following categories:
- Clerical and Administrative Services
- Custodial and Maintenance Services
- Food and Nutrition Services
- Health and Student Services
- Paraprofessional Services
- Security Services
- Skilled Trades Services
- Technical Services
- Transportation Services
To nominate an employee, please use the attached form. Include the reason why you are nominating the employee. Write no more than 500 words regarding the employee's performance in any or all of the following categories: work performance, school and community involvement, leadership and commitment, local support, enhancement of classified school employees in the community and school, and any other area in which the nominee has demonstrated excellence.
Please submit your nomination to Laura Juranek, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent, at juranekl@mdusd.org. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, February 17th.
A finalist from each category will be recognized at a District Board meeting and forwarded to the Contra Costa County Office of Education for consideration to be selected as a County Classified Employee of the Year.
