The Mt. Diablo Unified School District Board of Education will hold a

PUBLIC HEARING

At the regular Board of Education meeting,

commencing at 6:00pm

Wednesday, March 8, 2023

TO ALL INTERESTED PARTIES:

Mt. Diablo Unified School District will be submitting a waiver to the California Department of Education to reduce the number of days of extended school year from 20 to 17 while simultaneously increasing the number of hours per day to ensure the students receive the required services.  

The 17 day format will ensure students will end extended school year services prior to the July 4th holiday which will provide students and families with the opportunity to rejuvenate for the upcoming year. and participate in other activities.  In addition, it will result in reduced time spent on transportation.  

The Public Hearing, as stated, will be held in person at 1936 Carlotta Drive, and may be viewed via internet streaming (via zoom).  To observe and/or participate in the hearing, please  see instruction on the Board Meeting Information webpage.
